2015 Green Beauty Top 3

When first preparing for this post, my intention was to post a top 5 favourite green beauty products like last year. Last year was an epic year for me with green beauty, I went hardcore and discovered life changing amazing products that I still use to this day. Perhaps because last year was so great, was the reason why I struggled so much finding products of the same MUST have caliber to post about. I have a lot of green beauty products that I like but I’m very much a realist, I believe in telling the absolute truth in my reviews – if it’s just ok, I don’t really feel passionate enough to write about it. But if something is knock your socks off life changing, oh trust me, you will know! I felt that was a good basis to only write about three products this year. I am always trying new products and would welcome to know about any products you loved this year!

In no particular order, my top three green beauty products of 2015 are:

Meow Meow Tweet Deodorant Creme

Vegan

Made in USA

Rated 3 on ThinkDirty App

I first purchased this deodorant while visiting Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. Although Routine de-odor-cream is my go to natural deodorant that changed my life, I have not found anything comparable until Meow Meow Tweet Deodorant Creme and I might say that I prefer this one just slightly more due to its very smooth consistency. I have tried the Lavender scent and the Tea Tree scent, they also have a Baking Soda Free Deodorant Creme which is perfect for those with sensitivities. It has been impossible to find in my city but I was pleased to see that Habitat Etc carried the brand and the deodorant creme. Your best bet is to find it online as there are many green beauty retailers who carry it.

Lily Lolo Lip Gloss

GMO Free

Gluten Free

Cruelty Free

Vegan

Made in the UK

Rated 3 on ThinkDirty App

I am a lip gloss addict. The second I tried this lip gloss, I was instantly in love. The texture is smooth, not sticky. The colours are beautiful worn alone or on top of your other lip colours to add that extra punch. The smell is a satisfying chocolate smell (though from some reviews, this is not a favourite of scent). In the few months that I have been using Lily Lolo Lip Gloss, it has become my daily staple that I have gone through about six of them! That’s how much I love them! I feel that lip products are one of the most important products to have on your green beauty list since you somewhat ingest it and this lip gloss has very clean ingredients! I have used the colours English Rose, Scandalips (my favourite) and Bitten Pink. Purchase at Nuciya.

I bought this on a whim, labels never do what they say. I have very dry skin overall and my scalp is no exception. This shampoo is not only incredibly clean, it smells beautiful and actually keeps my scalp healthy and has very much reduced any build up from any products used. I get compliments on my hair often and a healthy scalp is the basis of healthy hair! The great green features of this product are too much to list here but it’s great to see a green company that is so pro-active and has a remarkable product! I would like to try more of their products! Get it at Planet Organic, Earth’s General Store and I have also seen a couple online retailers sell it.

I hope you have enjoyed this list and I will continue to keep you posted on all the green beauty products I discover. Have you tried these products and love them as much as I do?

Until the next post! Remember you can also find me on Facebook and Instagram!
