Value Village – August 2015

It has been an incredibly busy summer that I haven’t thrift shopped since May and I usually go at least once a month! Thankfully a mid week day off allowed me the opportunity to thrift in peace and quiet and just before the crazy Halloween season starts! The staff were putting up the Halloween section as I was there. I cringe when it’s Halloween season and all my hardcore thrifters agree – we usually stay away during this time!

This thrift haul turned out to be quite successful in terms of quality items versus just buying for the sake of buying or buying because it’s cheap. And based on the picture above, my thrift haul seemed to take on a black and white/stripe/navy theme! Classic and timeless.

So here’s what I spotted:

20150810_144350Antique green glass jar $7. I probably should have got this.

20150810_150454Diesel Style Lab pumps $20.

20150810_150648Miz Mooz boots $10! Medium condition considering the dirt on the elastics but still a great brand at a great price!

20150810_151031Lacoste boots $17.

20150810_152546Calvin Klein dress $20. I recently saw this dress at The Bay, on sale for $40.

20150810_154119Ann Taylor LOFT dress $20. Love the little bow detail!

20150810_171918Anthropologie dress $12. This one was too tight on me.

20150810_172022Topshop skort/dress $15. I was super close to bringing this home with me.

20150810_155818Vintage Adidas $16. This likely would have been a great reseller item.

20150810_155848Lululemon jacket $30.

20150810_161559Lululemon ballerina wrap $30.

20150810_172410H&M jacket $12. Jackets are my thing, they make a woman look incredibly sexy and this jacket did just that! Except it was a bit to small for me that I was not able to get the buttons closed. I was tempted as it looked great open but decided if it wasn’t totally functional then it probably wasn’t a good buy.

20150810_17395620150810_174010Soia & Kyo trench coat $18. This was probably the best item I spotted as these jackets sell for well over $200 and it was in great condition! Sadly, too small for me.

And now for what I purchased:

20150810_143915Chapters/Indigo candle $8. I’m a sucker for candles in their jar and I remembered this candle from last summer.

20150810_144209Starbucks travel mug $4. I recently researched Starbucks mugs on eBay… I’m on to something here!

20150810_145733Aveda Be Curly hair product $4. This was full and retails for $24. My boyfriend uses it all the time so it was a gift for him!

20150810_150218Aldo bee flats $12. A lil scuffed up but these are suede and have since cleaned up well. So cute!

20150810_15242720150810_172730-1Club Monaco dress $18. This is a class act kinda dress. One of the few times I’ve bought something dry clean only.

20150810_161635Cynthia Rowley blouse $8.

20150810_165640American Apparel sleeveless hoodie $5. Classic piece for my workouts.

20150810_17200120150810_171349Lucca Couture dress $18. I’ve never heard of this brand but my internet search tells me that it’s sold at Urban Outfitters. Either way this is a great dress that I will get lots of use out of.

20150810_17391020150810_171555-1Old Navy dress $10. Continuing on with my stripe theme, this is a classic dress that I have already washed and worn and got lots of compliments on.

20150810_173710J. Crew sweatshirt $8. Just because.

20150810_173645Adidas leggings $12. Can I tell you how long I’ve searched for Adidas three stripe tight leggings?! And to find them via thrift is even better. These are classic and will look great with the American Apparel zip up that I also purchased.

Thanks for reading! Until the next thrift!
