Peacock Boutique Thrift Shop – February 2015

Everyone knows that I’m a huge fan of Value Village but I’d like to take more time to check out and support local thrift or consignment stores as well as different big thrift shops. I like to check out Edmonton Emergency Relief Services, Peacock Boutique Thrift Shop every few months on my lunch breaks. Its been noted that it’s likely best to call ahead before you make the trip over as they often have unique store hours or close to the general public to serve their emergency relief clients.

Here’s what I spotted:

20150227_121523Green glass vase $7.50

20150227_121503Milk glass platter $5. I’ve been eying this beauty for awhile but have yet to bring it home.

20150227_122147Beautiful cobalt Pyrex bowl (slightly scratched) $5

20150227_122357Great retro S&P shakers $1.50

20150227_122620I love retro container sets! This one was $10

20150227_122709Sun rustic wall sconce $4

20150227_122803Great lamp $22.50

20150227_121638Beautiful bench $45

20150227_122943I love antique marble tables, these would look great with silver spray painted legs, $95 for the set.

20150227_121837Fossil bag $12

20150227_121940The Sak and Matt & Nat purses $12

20150227_123846Only shirt $3

20150227_123956Sparrow (Anthropologie) cardigan $3

20150227_125048Lululemon tank $5. Sadly this was about a size 2/4 and did not fit me.

And now for what I purchased:

20150227_122129Perfect condition Pyrex bowls, sold as a set, $2.50!!!

20150227_124045Puma tshirt $3

If you’re keeping track, my bill was $5.50 for three great items! My one complaint that I realized this trip is that none of the clothing is sized so you really have to sift or eyeball the racks. The store is best for household and furniture items – they make sure everything is clean and in working condition before they put it on the sales floor whereas Value Village has stations to let you try out electrical items before you buy. Peacock Boutique also sells a lot of overstock or business items – they had tons of brand new Joe shoes and clothing as well as brand new and used items from Coast Hotels. This thrift shop is definitely one to check out when you’re downtown!

Remember, you can also find me on Facebook and Instagram!

Until the next thrift!
